“After receiving a diagnosis of dyslexia through a comprehensive psychometric screening assessment, my son attended weekly MSL tutoring. Although this was helpful, the gap between him and his peers continued to widen and his confidence and interest in school began to decline. Desperate to find more support for my son I called SPELD NSW, who referred me to Janelle Ryan. From the first moment I spoke to her, I knew she understood specific learning needs. My son has now seen Janelle twice a week for almost two years. He loves her lessons and looks forward to seeing her. There are minimal complaints about the homework too, as she chooses things that will interest him and develop his confidence. She celebrates his successes as much as we do and has a genuine interest in his learning and progress.
